Prescribed Fire Grants
Several grant opportunities are available for private landowners to help implement prescribed burning to reduce hazardous fuel loads and protect communities across the state.
Prescribed burning is a land management tool used to reduce potential fuel for wildfires and help promote ecosystem restoration. For most prescribed fire grants, recipients will be reimbursed at a standard rate per acre burned. All require the use of a certified and insured prescribed burn vendor.

Provides financial support to landowners utilizing prescribed fire for ecological improvements within the Neches River and Cypress Basin watersheds while also protecting nearby high-risk communities.

To protect high‑risk communities and nearby forest resources by reducing the likelihood of catastrophic wildfires on both private and public lands through the use of prescribed fire.
