Liberty County Emergency Services District (ESD) No. 7 received a grant for
$10,000 to purchase a forcible entry training aid. Funding was provided by the Texas A&M Forest
Service Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program.
The training aid will be used to teach forcible-entry techniques, making the department faster and more
proficient in gaining access to structure during emergencies.
The department would like to thank Texas A&M Forest Service for providing the grant funding. “This
grant will be a tremendous help to the community,” said Nicole Nelson, Liberty County ESD No. 7 Fire
Chief.
