  • EVENTS: VAN ZANDT COUNTY TREE & LANDSCAPE CARE WORKSHOP

    Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 pm

    Location: Van Zandt County Fairgrounds, Freestate Building

    The Van Zandt County Long Term Recovery Group, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension, Van Zandt County Emergency Management, and the Texas A&M Forest Service are hosting a tree and landscape care workshop for interested landowners and residential homeowners interested in tree care, tree planting in a residential or rural landscape, and firewise landscaping.

    Lunch will be provided and is free as well.

    1 CEU for TDA Pesticide Applicators is available

    * In addition to the workshop, we will be hosting a tree planting event and hardwood seedling giveaway the following day (Saturday, 2/17) at Cherry Creek Park in Canton at 9:00 am. Bring the kids and come out to help plant trees in this beautiful park. Free hardwood seedlings will be given away after the planting is completed.
