  • EVENTS: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF W.G. JONES STATE FOREST'S FRONT LAKE RECREATION AREA AND TRAIL HEAD

    Due to construction repairing lake and improvements to drainage, W.G. Jones State Forest’s Front Lake Recreation Area and trail head will be closed starting August 20 until September 20, 2018. 

    Alternative parking and access to W.G. Jones State Forest is across from Texas A&M Forest Service’s office on FM 1488. 

    The public may contact Conroe District office at 936-273-2261 with questions.
