The Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL), a member of The Texas A&M University System and one of the busiest and most productive veterinary diagnostic laboratories in the world, seeks a visionary leader to fill the position of Executive Director.

The TVMDL is an AAVLD-accredited, state-of-the-art veterinary diagnostic laboratory and a participant in the National Animal Health Laboratory Network.  The TVMDL system consists of four laboratory facilities, including BSL3 laboratories and a mobile emergency response unit.  Two facilities located in College Station and Amarillo serve primarily the Texas animal industries by performing full-service diagnostic testing for thousands of veterinarians and livestock owners.  Additionally, two poultry laboratories in Center and Gonzales, Texas serve the industry through disease surveillance and diagnostic testing.  The caseload for the TVMDL system is quite diverse, ranging from domestic livestock, companion animal, and poultry cases to aquatic animals, exotic hoofstock, and zoo animals.
