VFD assistance programs
We’re committed to helping fire departments obtain critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, training, and other resources to protect the public and emergency personnel from fire and other hazards.

Provides cost-share funding for firefighting vehicles, fire and rescue equipment, protective gear, dry-hydrants, and firefighter training.

Provides excess military property to emergency service providers.

Facilitates the donation and disbursement of PPE, fire and rescue equipment, and fire trucks.

Provides reimbursement grants for firefighter insurance like workers’ compensation and AD&D.

Provides vehicle liability insurance at a greatly reduced cost.

Loans excess federal equipment to fire departments and other emergency response cooperators.
