Texas Urban Forestry Councils

Urban Forestry Councils are dedicated to promoting the value of urban forests. Each council is made up of community forestry experts and stakeholders from the region that work together to create programming, educational opportunities, and resources for the constituents and communities within their area.

These five regional urban forestry councils make up the Texas Urban Forestry Congress. The congress serves as a sharing space for community forestry initiatives, opportunities, and successes for all areas of Texas.  

The Texas Urban Forestry Congress meets virtually in June and in-person in December. These meetings are open to anyone interested in learning and participating. Each regional council has one voting delegate within the congress.
